OPTICXCESS — Amazon Set Up Cloud Gaming Service – Luna
Cloud Gaming is the true future of the gaming industry. The opportunity to enjoy your favorite AAA games, wherever and whenever you want is a futuristic concept that is no longer just a dream, thanks mainly to the power of the internet.
Many giant companies that already have at least the infrastructure base to pursue this option are starting to offer their products, as did Google with Stadia and Microsoft with ProjectXCloud. Now it is the turn of another company – Amazon that wants to compete in this still new market. They officially announced Luna.
Amazon Set Up Cloud Gaming Service – Luna
Luna is a cloud gaming service from Amazon. Only available for the United States market today in Early Access format, you will be able to try your favorite games with only Fire TV, PC, Mac, or iOS-based devices with Android will follow in the near future.
For now, Luna can be used on two devices simultaneously and supports 4K / 60fps resolution for several titles. Currently, only a few titles are available, with support from more publishers – notably, Ubisoft promised in the future.
For now, Luna only offers the Luna + channel with an introduction fee of around USD 5.99 / month, to access games like Resident Evil 7 and Control. Channels with other publishers like Ubisoft, for example, are likely to demand additional fees to be accessed in the future. There is no information on whether Amazon will bring this service outside the United States in the future.
