OPTICXCESS — AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Ready For Laptops By AMD
At the CES 2021 conference held in January last year, AMD officially launched the Ryzen 5000 series mobile notebook processor (CPU) series. Now, a CPU with a “Zen 3” architecture designed with a 7 nanometer manufacturing process is coming soon.
Paige Shi, Director of Consumer Business AMD Asia Pacific and Japan, said there were two types of Ryzen 5000 series that were brought to Indonesia, namely the Ryzen 5000 H series and the U series. Both were designed for notebook computers with different target markets. The Ryzen H Series will be targeted at laptops of gamers and content creators, and the Ryzen U Series will be targeted at thin and light laptops.
The AMD Ryzen 9 5980HX and 5900HX are the top and first processor versions of the Ryzen 5000 H series family, equipped with an unlocked overclocking function. With this feature, the manufacturer (OEM) can adjust the CPU speed (clock speed) with a TDP of greater than 45 watts to 4.8 GHz.
It is said that the first two processors of the Ryzen 5000 H series are 23% more powerful than the previous generation processors in single-thread performance and 17% in multi-thread performance. Moving on to the AMD Ryzen 5000 U-Series. The top variant of the series, the Ryzen 7 5800U, is said to have 16% single-threaded performance and 16% multi-threaded performance over the previous generation. In terms of battery life, this laptop with a CPU is sturdy and durable, and can accompany users to normal use and watch movies for tens of hours.
To provide utility, They says that the Ryzen 5000 U series Processor Notebook computer products are scheduled to arrive for the first time in late April 2021.
Meanwhile, laptops equipped with Ryzen 5000 H series processors will be available at the end of May 2021. Which parts of this notebook series are not yet revealed, but they promises to sell four suppliers based on Ryzen 5000 U and H series products, namely Acer, Asus, HP, and Lenovo.
